When I get my truck back (with its new engine) I want to reset my mileage to Zero. Just so its easier to work out service intervals.

So, anyone want to admit to clocking an L200 and how easy is it...?

So, anyone want to admit to clocking an L200 and how easy is it...

its easy to clock a car analogue speedo like in L200..even easier on digi speedo readouts...... Obvoisly i am not going to do a how to online but remove your clocks and all in very easy to see what u have to do..officer..
mines not been clocked as its just gone to 300000kms and pretty proud of the milage really as I prefer high milage cars than low milages,gives me things to go fiddle and fix on my weekends..

there should be a "hinge" part that fixes to the truck which is clearly not in the picture, so there must in theory be a truck going round with a hinge but no top

piece of cake to fit - galvanised fence strap hinges with some long rivets - bish bosh - If the classic wasn`t sold I`d go for it masell

What's the law in doin that then? I left my mileage as is. The rest of the vehicle has still done the mileage. Not exactly rocket science to work out the service intervals. Is it only illegal if you sell the vehicle on?

If you were ever to resell the truck, surely you'd be screwed?

Only issue is, if I'd doing it to try and cheat some future buyer.... which I wouldn't be.

There would be a 2012 MOT with 135k miles on it and a 2013 MOT with a couple thousand.

I accept it's not rocket science, just fancy making it easier for myself.

I think you can also inform DVLA who will ammend the V5 to say that a new speedo has been fitted to the milage may not be a true milage for the vehicle. that way your butt is legaly covered.
