I started work on a box to replace the rear seat today. In the box on the passenger side will be a division housing the auxiliary battery, inverter and other electronics. The other, larger side will be storage for misc stuff.

Bit of an update on the storage box, it is mostly done just needs the wooden infill pieces and the lids to go on. Then the wiring fun starts.

I have also started on the drawers for the bed.

I've done a couple of days laning since plasti-dipping and it doesn't seem to be fairing too well, a couple of tears on each front arch. Oh well.

The rear drawer/storage build has started. I've made the frame (excluding the sides), next is to make the drawers and fit runners etc.

I've also installed axle/gearbox breathers costing next to nothing and had sump guards made.

After a fairly quiet month, another pay slip means more parts. About time too as we are setting off for 2.5 weeks around bits of Europe in the middle of September. There will hopefully be a lot of progress in a short space of time from here on.

A bare drawer structure waiting for drawers and runners etc.

Mocking up the runners and seeing how the latches are going to work

Mounted the split charge solenoid. I went with the T-Maxx system predominantly due to cost.

Mounted the heated seat switch

And painted the rear seat replacement box

I think it's time for a long overdue update!

The first stage of the build was completed in time for our trip to Europe in September, this included; the dual battery system, all other electrics, drawer system for the bed etc.

Testing our rear lighting setup

All packed up ready to go

The holiday was an 18 day adventure through France and northern Italy, including 5 days on Chamonix (camping), 3 days taking in some of the famous off road routes finishing at Monaco(camping), 3 nights at Lake Como (camping), then 4 nights in the Italian Dolomites (agriturismo) Concluding with a 3 day drive back to Devon.

On the ferry, rather exciting
