So I removed the egr and blanked this off about 6 years ago on my L200, 53 plate (04). No issues. Suddenly a few months back the eml starts coming on. Does not affect performance, just lights up. The garage tells me it’s an egr fault code, which having no egr is odd. I’ve checked the blank bung on the tube for the vacuum pipe, and whilst original had deteriorated I’ve replaced and still an issue. I’ve replaced both blanking plates and gaskets, and no joy. I put a 155mm section of copper pipe in to connect the rubber hoses - will replace this tomorrow, but running out of ideas. Disconnected and reconnected battery to reset emu, but nothing doing. I’m Beginning to wonder what on earth this could be, so hoping someone may have some ideas. I don’t have a code reader for the vehicle, so only going on what garage told me. Also light coming on is inconsistent - sometimes does it after 1.5 miles of driving, sometimes 15 or 20 miles - no logic or pattern.

Any ideas, getting desperate now……
