Cabin mods

#1 by graham Mcdermott , Wed Sep 11, 2013 8:07 pm

I have just finished a couple of mods in the cabin of my truck. Hopefully i will be able to get some photos uploaded too
The inside of my 4life i think is a bit drab. so i thought i would try and brighten it up a bit. firstly i followed a Krutly how to
again and changed the dash bulbs for LEDs in blue. This was a very easy cheap and effective mod. Nice one Krutly!

Second. The dash and trim in my truck is black which adds to the dark dreary look of the cabin so i thought about buying
buying second hand silver dash and trim from a breakers. this would of cost about £50 to £60 and they wouldnt of been
without the odd blemish or scratch. So i decided to remove the trim from my truck and give it a coat of silver Plastikote
spray paint, doing the dash as well whilst it was off during the bulb change. And i think it really improves the inside of the
cab and all for £6 95 for the spray paint. All the trims come off and go back on really easily you do of course have to disconnect
and unscrew any switches but again all very easy.

I de-dotted Graham's post so that we could revel in the awesomeness of his mods, rather than the awfulness of his keyboard

Word of caution mate..i did my leccy window switch plates in the very same stuff..looked very professional at first, but it rubs off very very easily..mine need doing again cos they look pants..will lacquer them also next time
