Hi
Just joined, first post, here goes.
Bought a 2008 Diamond Auto with at end of August 2013 with 78000 miles (done an further 2500 in last month and no problems apart from intermittent Engine Management light which seems to come on at the same time as the Traction Control lights - will post about this separately). My first 4x4 - bought through my company.
Have bought a Milners cam belt kit, also PAS and water pump belt, and picked up a new water pump from another supplier on ebay just to be on the safe side.
I have read a bit about replacing the water pump pulley as well but this always seems to be for the Classic shape - I cant even find a belt pulley for a 2008 model on ebay etc. Is it a different pulley arrangement or do I need to persevere and get one for my mechanic to change at the same time as everything else?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

ta da & by magic they appear
I have done a few newshape belts but not had to do a waterpump or pulley yet. Since its your own motor it does make sense to change the pump when they are in there (saves you a wee bit £££ ) As for the pulley on the water pump it is simply a tin one so cant really go wrong, very rarely have I heard of the viscus coupling on the fan itself going so Im guessing that your information may be mixed up with the front crankshaft pulley as thats the only one that gives problems on the classic shape, Dont need to change it on the newshape though as they dont seem to have the same problem.
Just do the belts & waterpump
