Hey problems again

I have installed a new gearbox to my 4life today, just to please me the transfer part of the box is 47mm longer. Can i cut and weld the prop shaft to suit or am I buggered?

The plan was to take 47mm off the initial tube and weld back with accuracy?

Sorry I don't know technical terms

Help???

Stormforce is breaking his truck in cornwall, drop him the length, his may fit straight on, you will have problems if you cut and weld it, mainly through balancing, see if you have a local propshaft services nearby, they could do it easily..

I have contacted the local firm this morning, was quite rude. Only asked the question but there we go.

in PDF format so you can just look, print or download each section and keep it on your own computor...
Free mate just take what you need..
What bit of the world are you from mate, maybe some local info is there ( from other members) if you can let us know a rough location.

I know it's a treck but d&f prop shafts near me at Leeds are brill. Made me a new prop shaft up for me as mine are special ones. Real quick and at a good price. I would highly recommend them.

Shall give them a ring Monday. Depends if they need the vehicle cause it's off the road at the moment.

Just tell em the overall length at send it to em. They will just chop it re weld it and balance it. Mite as we'll get em to put new uj's in while it's there.
