It does have 2 problems that are annoying me though. Is it common for the leaf springs to knock when cornering? like slip a tad and made a klunk.

could be worn bushes though.
I had a broken leaf that did that

Truck looks good, and 71,000 miles on a 13 year old motor is excellent

The clunking's not good - you definitely want to check the leafs on the springs as a cracked one that let go and got caught in the wheel would ruin your entire year, if not decade...

ive had it on the ramps and checked it out. I even thought it may be a really loose or shot wheel bearing. sooo much bloody wax oil it would be hard to see a crack.

I thought that the leafs shifting a small amount would be suspect as the retaining compression bolt? will stretch and not hold them tight together. just going by what ive heard on other forums really.
this forums great. really active

My truck clunks a little in the wet. U bolts can come a little loos and cause knocking. Sometimes a good clean between the leafs can help a little. Also as mentioned worn bushes can cause a clunk but replacement poly bushes are pretty cheap.

Make sure the spare wheel is tight up. That clunks.

Lol maybe worth a new set! Have heard mixed things about suppliers but mine are GKN items that were sourced through a company called TBR. They felt pretty tough when fitting.
