Eh up folks,
My old set of standard wheels are for sale from my 2002 4life. PHOTOS IN THE GALLERY UNDER MY NAME
They are suffering from a bit of the typical corrosion and flaking, some worse than others (the spare is quite bad).
4 wheels have tyres, though not much tread left, definitely 1, maybe 2 arent very legal :-(
Not fully sure of their value really. Say £150?
If this is way out, someone please tell me. Is it worth looking at getting them reconditioned myself before selling?

B16 what size mate, would be helpful to any potential buyer, can just give the tyre size that they are.

£100 before they go on ebay? Cant be bad for 5 original alloys, at least two with half decent tyres

I think you're having a laugh..... knackered alloys needing reconditioned are usually worth little more than scrap. Good luck with anything more than £10 a corner.
And looking at your tyres, would you expect someone to pay money for them, or is that more expense to get them removed...?
But saying that, there's always muppets on Ebay.

What a jolly constructive comment that was!
Ive seen similar sets go for more as for some reason people often like to have a standard set put on. If you'd bothered to read my origonal post, youd have seen i enquired as to whether it was worth gettin them reconditioned, so im not lookimg to scrap them anyway.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments

prob cost you more to get them reconditioned than you will get for them, tyres are duelers which not many will want, shove them on the bay and you may get what you want for them, though transport wont be cheap

Cheers for that treeboa, sounds the most sensible plan, i wasn't sure how much reconditioning costs, so thought it might be n option.
How do i arrange transport? Never sent anything so big, and dont think they'll fit under the glass at the post office!
Cheers

not sure interparcel will take such a large single `package` what you may need to do is pallet them, personally i would be doing collection only or transport at buyers arranged courier, to courier them yourself you need to know the full weight of the package and the width, breadth and height of it, im sure the max most will take per parcel is 38k without a pallet, recently cost me £35 to get a lathe in two parts sent to me, one part at 38k and the second at 16k
i looked at reconditioning, basic was 35 per wheel, then there was extras like removing and refitting the tyres, buffing the rims if required etc etc, soon added up to 70 per wheel, add transport to that and you may as well heave them to the scrap yard because you stand to make little if anything for them
also thinking try putting them on preloved and ad trader

Would cost about £40 + per wheel for recondition, If you want rid then its not worth it.

A very good buy for someone who wants to have colour coded wheels and has the time to do the rubbing down, priming, painting and laquering at the end. Including the purchase cost, they would end up being around £45 - £50 a wheel for colour coded, thats a good price.

my ten penneth - having scrapped and shipped my old truck to all corners, I would say strip off the tyres, even if you hacksaw them off yersell (loses weight) then stick `em up for £25 a corner, the carriage will be about £75 total - which if your buying is an ouch moment ... strap two lots of two together, don`t use big couriers, and certainly don`t pallet them up = if you do you will pay £120 standard pallet space fees (floor space) if they`re loose, they ride on top of everyone elses pallets and represent profit to the courier - Happy sending

£75 - £100 is a good price i think personally. Nomore, no less.
Lad at works just paid £125 for 4 x 4life alloys with centre caps, 3 decent tyres and 1 shot,
Forgot to say, needing as refurb as corroded and flaking, wire wheel and black paint
