hi i need advice i have just brought a 2004 L200 2.5D
and this light keeps flashing all the time its a pic of two axles. if i put it in to 4L or 4H it goes on permanent (which i guess its meant to) but when i go back in to 2H it continuous flashing. any ideas

Could be the solenoid sticking (its on the front axle)
Peel back the rubber boot and give it a spray with WD40

Jim it is either a problem with a sticking actuator on the rear of the front axle ( slip the boot back and lubricate) but more likely a vacuum leak mate..
the vacuum piping diagram is on the forum, just join up mate it a freebie and is a proper crack as well as a big help in times of need..
Do not worry about it causing damage as it wont, there is no physical drive to the front axle as long as the 4WD lever is in 2WD, just the drive within the axle is engaged, there's a diff so no probs, just a tiny bit higher MPG mate..

Works on a vacuum, could be an air leak on one of the pipes.
