Water pipe thingy

Just got my new head today and all looks good APART from the pipe that goes into the head for the water hose ( if you are looking from the front it is right hand side on cylinder head) mine is a L shape with one hose going onto it BUT the one supplied with the new head is a Y shape with 2 hoses ?
Any ideas ?
It is a genuine mitsy head so am a bit confused.

gonna be sticking this on in the morning..should i just stick the old pipe in the head ? Not even sure where another water pipe would go ?

Do have to swap the pipes mate, done it myself a couple of times..
