I have drove daily for years and tonight my van is stuck in 2nd gear, the clutch will dis engage but i cannot change gear, I can however change between 2 and 4 wheel drive

that dont sound too good mate, any other symtoms before that

my engine management light has been coming on, but has shown to be a vacuum on the turbo, was told it was no buggy

if its jammed in gear then could be the syncro mesh gears have colapsed. has there been any crunching going into gear ??

either wat the gearbox will need to come out & get inspected.

No. There's been no crunching into Gear

if its stuck solid then the gearbox will need removed & checked or just try an get a 2nd hand one to fit.
