I Have just bought a Recovery truck Today and to get it insured for what i want to do the insurance is Ni on £3000 i want to do collections of new cars plus breakdown cover i ideally wanted to keep my L200 For what i bought it for Shooting and to Advertise my new business venture on but it just won't be feasible with the cost of insuring the recovery truck the private plate stays on the truck its MOTd till April 2015 runs starts and drives spot on i have just had the timing belts and the pulleys and fan belts plus some other odds n ends done there is the odd dink and there is a split in the end cap on the front bumper avable on ebay for £30 odd quid tax has just ran out but i can tax if Req?? As its still insured

Cant you get a Motor Traders Policy to insure your Recovery truck?
I had one for 12 yrs, never had any probs. 3 of us were on it and it only cost us £1700 a year.

That's not a bad price. Pre FBW classic in good order are starting to outstrip the less reliable 2002-2006 models of late. Hope it sells well for you.

I'm going to tax it tomorrow for 6 months
It's crying shame to see it on the drive its only been stood 4 days lol
So the tax will be oppictionl £75
I will leave the full 6 months on @ this time so £1475 taxed
Although the tax is £120 odd

if this helps???? £1000 cash and small tidy van in PX eg peugeot partner citroen berlingo tax n tested that way i will have my down payment for my insurance and a little run about cus my Mrs duz not want the recovery truck parked at home :-( so am having to rent storage to keep it close to home and will need a little run around cus i am getting a Fat lazy barscuard well not so much lazy lol i work 3 nights a week driving a shipping crane i compare boxing shows and now want to drive a recovery truck
