A little renovation work.

#1 by mikeinatruck , Sun Jun 22, 2014 9:59 pm

Well after 118k mikes and 11 years I have decided to tidy up the bits and pieces that need doing, I dropped the fuel tank to check the stack pipes, rusty but not holed, new ones going on though, the fuel tank strainer was clean as was the tank, quite surprised at that to be honest.
The wheel arch steel mud guard plates need some work and the front of the tub in the wheel arch needs a good rub down. But when the tank is back on I am going to take the tub off so I can clean up the chassis.

I wish I could find one of the long range fuel tanks for it but they are not available anymore.... Some pics to follow..

I have a nice little electric winch in my garage that lifts off the canopy, so wont be hard to take the tub off either..

I could do with removing the tub as yje chassis could do with some de - gingering and sealing but if i am gonna do that i may aswell fit a lift kit and upgraded shocks etc etc etc
