Well to start I have never had an L200 before, last escapade I had with a 4x4 was a Landy over ten years ago, I bought the L200 at the end of May and couldnt wait to start putting it to rights. yeah right I hear you all say.
First Job was to tackle the usual rocker cover oil leak. Taking 10mm Socket and wrench in hand looked with trepidation at the intercooler, and proceeded to undo the bolts. unclipped the wiring harness connections etc and I will cut it short by saying Success the oil leak is now repaired. Two days later I am back under the bonnet as the little tinker had developed a water leak. once again to cut it short struggled with small 6" pipe to right of intercooler close to engine block, once again success water leak cured. The water leak was caused by compression fitting at one end, replaced pipe and put new Jubilee clips on worked at treat.
I wont bore you all too much yet, so I will close this episode for now, but warning there will be more

Check right behind the cylinder head as there are two thin metal pipes that come up the back of the head.
there is also a stubby pipe down between the two solenoids just behind the throttle body.
And there is a metal pipe that runs across the bulkhead from level with the side of the engine at rocker cover height, going over towards the servo.
I'll do you a link to the vac piping diagram in the next post.
