Jump start

Had a few problems starting yesterday in cold weather, really needs new battery but as temporary fix went to buy a charger at Maplins, saw they had one of those 'jump start' thingies in their sale at £29
so I picked one up.
Didnt think it would turn over the truck but it puts out boost of 400amps. Started first time.
Good bit of kit charge it up on 240 volt and it holds charge for 2 months, also has socket for 12v cig lighter type plug for spots or worklight, will give 12v supply for about 50 hours! (didnt bother with the dearer ones that pump tyres up as they only boost to 300amps).
Useful bit of kit to carry in back of truck, cheap and it works.
2006 'new shape' from new 66000 miles, no problems, just serviced every 12k miles.

they're a good and handy peice of kit! used them for donkeys. i use ours to jump the quad when it gets used once a year in the snow! lol
