Beeper when door is open not working (when lights on)

Hi there battery was dead after leaving my lights on when the door is open with keys in it used to beep in side light use to come on not any more any got any ideas wot the problem is thanks

Could be the ecu needs resetting after the flat battery..I would try disconnecting the battery for 20 mins to reset the ecu..im not saying this will work but has on similar issues in the past..worth a shot for no cost and a few mins of waiting.

my truck dont beep when i leave the lights on or does it???

Krowe, whats the year of the truck mate so I can check out the 'keyminder' wiring for ya, and give you some ideas...

i did post this a while back and to be fair to lez he did explain, but electrics to me are just black magic. scarey.

You not the only one..I will and do turn my hand to most things but I find electrics just terrifying .satisfying when complete but scarey none the less

i can understand house hold wiring but auto electric, hmmmm on my veg kit white and brown denote ground black is common. leaving it there mate.

I would try disconnecting the battery for 20 mins..all sorts of daft things happen when a battery drains..doing this will reset the ecu.

Fixed it the problem was with the little thing on the door piller with I screw in it got a new one from milners 1 min job it's the courtesy light switch £11 fix made up no more leaving lights on
