As I have my own paint mixing scheme and touchup bottles I thought I'd see if anyone wants any mixxed touch up paint .
These are 60ml touch up pots with brushes in the lids .
All I'd need is your paintcode off the chassis plate , what the colour is (e.g blue, grey , red etc) and where to post it to .
£10 posted for 30ml unthinned .
£15 posted for 30ml thinned to 50ml
£18 posted for 50ml unthinned

can yo do A56 - metallic grey, what about lacquer? and silly question I know , are there any advantages to having it thinned, does it effect the quality of the paint

Yes I can do that colour no problem .
I can send you a bit of lacquer if you need some but if it's just for touchups it doesn't Definately need it as its solvent based basecoat so can be used on its own just for touchups .
If it's thinned it basically just makes it a lot thinner and can be sprayed through a small spray gun tbh .
It all depends on what you want it for . If it's just to touch in stone chips etc then I use it unthinned . If it's to spray through an airbrush or hvlp gun it needs to be thinned down in order to atomise properly .

Yes mate . The scoops are only held in by a few nuts but they can be quite rusty . With my classic I just unbolted it and sprayed it off the truck .
Basically rub it down with some 800grit wet or dry paper making sure you get into the books and crannies . Put a few dust coats of primer on just to seal the old paint in . Go over with the wet or dry again to give it a good key and a nice smooth finish to paint onto . Apply the colour coat in light coats until it's the desired colour , then start with a gripper coat of lacker (light coat ) then apply a nice even medium coat of lacker and leave to dry .

I should be able to but Mazda are a nightmare for finding the paint code . After a certain year they no longer put the paint codes on the chassis but I have a contact at Mazda-UK that I can ring and give the registration number to and he will give me the paint code over the phone .
