I don't like silencers

When you say about a silencer being fitted i take it you mean that i can fit a straight through exhaust with 2.5" pipe without a silencer but if i run a 3" pipe i would need the silencer

I personally would think the bigger the better, but don't forget that u might need a silencer of some sort for backpressure

erm, with turbo's, isnt it best to have the least amount of back pressure possible? hence why some performance car owners go for a straight through turbo back?

my mate only has a silencer on his toyota cos it's farkin loud!! lol

SPeaking to the guys at custom chrome they said to me diesel turbos need a certain mount of back pressure or else they will feel sluggish.... also zippy when he got his truck with a straight through said it didnt feel that responsive but when he added the silencer it felt more responsive.

Stormy i think whatever dia it is u will need a silencer, my new one has a silencer even though it is smaller than the original one

Thanks Raj.I might look into a ss e xhaust then just have a small silencer fitted.I had one done on my old surf from the turbo back with a smallish silencer and that was ok for £350 from a local place

Just passed its first MOT whoop whoop, i thought it was gona fail due to emissions because of the decat and egr blank but it sailed through no problems(il put up the figures and someone can tell me what they mean)....... also while there i tried the new trojan with the 170 bhp engine, and im happy to say mine feels much quiker even though its got all the extra weight

But looking at the engine bay of the new trojan there is loads more electrical wires and a guide pulley thing on the timing belt

Nice Raj. Is that a stepper motor by any chance?

Must have been fun cutting a 52mm hole in your dash for that....

Never mind the measure twice, cut once.... I'd have been measuring it 10 times just to make sure it was in the right place.

Good effort though, it looks good.

Surprised me Colin, while I was faffing about with a scanner, Nick and Raj did it in ten minutes with a hole cutter and fitted it, looks really good (dash is plastic and very thick at that point) looks like a factory fit jobbie.

2006 'new shape' from new 66000 miles, no problems, just serviced every 12k miles.
