Oil & Fuel Filter change

#1 by devil , Sun Feb 12, 2012 4:33 pm

Finally changed the oil, oil filter and fuel filter, truck now starts on the button without dipping the throttle.

Whilst at it removed the undertray and sent off for powdercoating in a subtle Kawasaki green

Yeah fully synthetic 5-40, supposedly was serviced in September but i was never 100% certain they had so it has been either 4 months or 10 months. Still had genuine Mitsi filters on so I am pretty sure they had not serviced.

Your right not to trust them mate, Arnold Clark are the worst for pre sale servicing, claimed they serviced the wifes Zafira the day before we picked it up, the oil was black and the filter had surface rust and grime consistent with several thousand miles of use, after much bullshit, it transpired that a pre sale service is mostly a check over and the levels had been topped up as it was not due a service for another 1500 miles, definetely not what a service is supposed to be I would have expected at least an oil and filter change.
I told them to ram their motor and walked away, on doing so I did I mention a possible call to trading standards.
An hour or so later I got an ass kissing phone call from the sales manager and I got the bonnet painted due to a few stone chips, a proper full service, oil, air an fuel filters changed, air con service and recharge and also timing belt done as a goodwill gesture
