Just fitted one of these to my truck last night and was genuinely surprised by how filthy the old one was considering the truck was serviced less than a year ago. Also seemed particuarly large and "restrictive" in comparison to the K&N
I don't expect it to make a world of difference although certainly can't do any harm getting more air into the box. Feels slightly more responsive although that may just be psychological!

By design they allow far better airflow so your truck will definitely be breathing better, which will make the truck more responsive and this will probably increase the power very slightly but probably not enough that you will notice, it will also pay for itself if you intend holding on to the truck for a few years.
Defo a worth while mod

I ordered mine last night (K&N UK have 25% off at the moment). Hoping for nothing more than saving a few quid in the long run and getting a better noise

I paid £41inc VAT and P&P from a car parts shop on eBay. Arrived 2 days after i bought it so can't complain, just have to remember to tell Mitsi to not bin it at next service!!

They usually have a sticker in the box to put on the lid of your filter warning them not to remove it, don't know what age your truck is mate, if it's under warranty i would take it out if going to the dealer, in case fitting a non standard filter helps them wriggle out of a warranty claim.
Some dealers won't bother but many will

I was going to suggest something similar. If your services are paid in advance already then put the old one back in and let them replace it , then remove it when you get home

Hey good idea, I'll dig the old one out the bin and do that . It's a 2010 truck and I paid for 3 years servicing on it so still have 2 to go
