Hi guys, i have a 2009 L200, and i was trying to remove the center console, I managed to take out two bolts (located inside the armrest that you pull up) and it was that simple to remove half the console.
The part I really need help with is how do i then remove the 4x4 selector rubber which is is wrapped around the 4x4 stick?
I unscrewed two small screws which are located to the back of the automatic transmission gear select lever, but I notice theres the black rubber part still wrapped around the 4x4 stick, how on earth do i get that removed?

I removed the whole plastic front end last week, and I can only assume your console is held on similarly, with two screws and a shit load of sticky pads, plus a couple of non-reusable clips that explode as soon as you look at them.I've not needed to remove the console...what are you up to?

Hi basil. I wanted to remove the whole console so i can use a black carbon fiber wrap.
I wouldn't be able to wrap it good enough, if i leave it in the truck, so im trying my hardest to get it out. I notice whats really keeping me back is trying figure out how on earth do you remove the rubber part around the 4x4 stick.

Did it on the classics when bod lifts were done, but i've not been near it on this one sorry. Maybe give a phone to local body shops? They normally know how cars come apart, trim wise
