Looking to buy an L200 for towing on a daily basis. Just want reliability. Ive seen a new shape 2007 warrior yellow with 139000 miles not bad condition and a 2004 old shape red and silver model excellent condition with 56000 miles. They are both close by and in my price range what would you choose? Help.
I would probablt spend a bit more mate and get a even newer modle the 2007 and 2004 may be a little gutless depending on what u r towing

Its to tow a catering trailer a couple of miles each day and general running around at weekends. I fancy these they look good but trying to figure out which would cause most probs.
a really tricky call. If reliability is your prime concern then an early pram is probably best avoided as much as a classic.
Service history, service history, service history, is paramount, its never a guarantee but it gives you the best chance of getting something with some hassle free life left in it. Avoid anything with missing history, too much mileage, or too little (unless the owner can prove its been dry stored for several years).
And pay the AA or the RAC to inspect it for you before buying. Alas, these hallowed pages are all too frequently visited by poor lost soils who've just purchased an L200 and had it blow up, snap in half, or catastrophically fail in some unpleasantly expensive way.

Cheers, i think its fair to say avoid both and spend out a bit more..but they do look so good. A hi lux would be far too sensible :) i need something eyecatching hence the yellow one. Thanks
K mean, perhaps have a look at the low miler. If its got a history that shows its been on the arduous duty cycle because of its mileage then its been looked after in a manner commensurate with the way its been used and might be worth a punt. But if not...

Gut instinct agrees with you there ill try and dig up as much info as poss on it, and see where it goes. Cheers Lemmy
id go for the low miler if its been looked after ,
as you can get something high mileage but serviced to the dot.
and a low mileage truck thats been used and abused from day one and only ever had its first service to keep in warranty ect.
