For sale is my October 2000 registered 4Life. As some of you may know I struggle a bit in manual vehicles as my right elbow is pinned together with titanium and aches uncomfortably. I've been trying to hold out to Christmas time until my retirements processed before changing Vehicles, but after a long and uncomfortable drive yesterday I'm going to throw in the towel and change to an auto ASAP.
Its a 2000 per FBW model, so less prone to the dreaded HGF.
she starts and runs perfectly, all the temps bang on the money.
102,000 miles. Its in use several times a week so that figure will slowly rise.
MOT to January 2016.
Brand new standard exhaust, front to rear, in January this year.
A no cat model as standard!
Snorkel.
Elevated rear axle breather, though never waded (the opportunity never arose!)
Nearly new Geolandars, still have the hairs on them.
High quality shocks all round.
Lexus IS200 seats.
30mm Bulldog spacers, with a couple spare.
Modified to enable veg running(80% in this warm weather).
Recent diff, box, and xfer box oil change.
Warrior chrome interior handles and sill plates.
Shogun Sport wood knob, dash and trim.
Absolutely solid. Never welded, the underside regularly inspected and undersealed during my ownership.
Driven gently, as I do, has been returning 31 MPG average over the last year.
Fastidiously maintained by a very fussy ex mechanic owner (me!)
Full history up to 90k miles, though I'm panicking as I can't find the book (I've moved house since I bought it). I will keep hunting. All receipts kept during my ownership.
Any inspection welcome.
I'm looking for £2650, which considering some of the high mileage, battered, ferrous pieces of crap being advertised for 4 grand makes this very good value. I don't want to let her go, but I'm struggling to drive her with only 1 fully functioning arm
Vehicle is in South Northants near J15 M1.

Bad points;
No carpet in the drivers footwell. It had suffered a water leak which I have since cured, but the carpet was smelly and rotten. Manky carpet removed and the (rust free) drivers floor pan was painted with black anti slip paint. Once the mat was in its not really noticeable, and having a mud proof wipe clean floor is handy so I never bothered finding another.
The paint job. While I love it I will admit its not to everyone's taste. However, considering the condition and integrity of the truck and the very competitive price I think this isn't a major issue. If the new owner was that fussed a litre of NATO 285 satin green is a tenner and they could paint over the black stripes for a more subtle look.
Private plate will be coming off and it will be reverting to its original X registration,
No tax, because under the governments new rules it can't be transferred to another owner.

Oh, and it has a towbar. No electrics fitted yet as it hasn't stopped raining, but nice got the bits for the new owner if they want them.
And its got a turbo boost gauge very neatly fitted in place of the inclinometer.
Pioneer MP3 stereo will be coming out, but ill leave the CB and give you a decent antenna for it.

The fire extinguisher and life hammers will be staying, simply don't end up with unsightly holes.
