L200 4 LIFE 2005 (97000 miles)

#1 by Skip ( Guest ) , Wed Aug 26, 2015 9:02 pm

Hello, i have just joined this forum, and down as a guest at present.
Ive just bought this truck and very pleased with it, i have a question, does movement in the front anti roll bar supposed to be there? it seems alien to me, but never owning one before im not sure? it seems as the bushes are not that old?
Second question, is i have read some posts which is leading me to ask about fellow members having head problems , removing the CAT, EGR vale ect. Is this something i should be looking to do ?

Welcome to the site...

Removing the CAT is an iffy one when it comes to MOT time.....Some go through whereas others fail, so is completely up to you....

The EGR is worth blanking , as it is a potential weak point , and has been known to become porous and allow exhaust gases into the water...As goes Head gasket failures....I'm sorry to say that would appear to be a bit of a lottery!

Thank you for getting back to me , i had a slight knock and squeak so while tring to find it i noticed there is movement in roll bar, each end back hub, were it goes though a bush which isnt snug on both sides, which makes the hole bar have movement/ play?

Here do you buy these blanking plates? is it a case of remove and blank ? any pipework to sort ?does it effect performance ?

Wenn Sie hier auf Links zu eBay klicken und einen Kauf tätigen, kann dies dazu führen, dass diese Website eine Provision erhält.

Kits are readily available on EBay. We do have a full how to .. within the forum but until you are a full member you can't access them. As goes performance , ftom what I understand it makes the acceleration smoother ( have yet to do mine..had the blanking kit in my shed for a couple of years now, might get round to it one day!)
