Having trouble figuring out why my oil light keeps coming of and on intermittent. It comes on when I stop at a junction and going of if Rev it. Like it's got low oil pressure. Does anyone know where the switch is or sensor that reads the signal as I think I might need replacing, as failing that I think it's a oil pump. Cheers

Yeah it does mate il wake up turn he truck on let her warm up. Feck about gettin a brew etc. 5-10 later jump in set off to work 24 mil journey say 10 mile in when the trucks warmed up a bit the light starts flickering on and off when I stop and start at junction and will stay on sometimes till I get to 1500 rpm or enough to get it circulating I think. And will stay off till I stop again. But 3/4 of the way in to the journey it will just stay off and won't come back on like the trucks warmed up enough to andnite flowing more freely. I don't know where. Switch is I've had a look unless am being blind

hum sounds like low oil pressure then I would be getting a oil pressure gauge on it and checking the pressure at cold warm and hot at tick over and every 500rm up to red line to be sure

My little Jem of a truck had the oil light on at tick over and it was the pressure switch leaking oil out of it , didn't notice it at first due to the amount of oil pissing out of the alternator over everything. Replace that little bugger first and then worry it it doesn't cure it

My works going tonne changing the oil pressure switch as it seems there might be a leak as it's quite gunky around the cable. They said that they don't know which one to get. A red one or black one. Does that make any sense to anyone. Cheers
