Sounds a bit dodgy to me. Don't you need a licence to sell diesel / petrol?
And presumably you'd have to cart away the 1000l and store it. I guess a thousand litres would way ~1 ton so the weight isn't a big issue but the sheer hassle in getting the container shifted would be.

Finally, you'd think the seller, his uncle, their wives, girlfriends, brothers, friends, would have diesel cars so why does he not just hold onto it and flog it at a car tank a go?

What an idiot, I would not even say that is a good price for an "ask no questions" situation!!! - Not that I would buy it.....

Not now I got my own "vehicle to vehicle pump"...... "excuse me mister - could I have a bit of diesel, I'll pay you £20 - won't take long..........."
