Apologies - you're correct. I was mis-remembering cos I started looking at Apollos before I quickly realised that they were only for the classics.
I had ~£80 in my head but a quick trawl suggests that they're ~£180 new and that K&N UK sell them for that price.

So I guess you're right to be suspicious of that ad.

The L200 ones are usually about £140, you get universal ones like the one in the add usually around £90, so their not that far away, you need to sort some pipe work and brackets for the universal ones though.
Having had one I'd say don't waste your money, their a bloody racket for little or no gain, get a replacement panel filter

Seems expensive for an old X plate, surprised that he has a bidder at that money...........high bidder only has 2 feedbacks......... when you check the sellers history, by coincidence the same buyer was the winning bidder last year when the seller had a Corsa for sale.

I'm not convinced there GB, I think the present bidder a***a has feedback of 2 whereas the previous a***a had 207 feedback. I do think you are right though in that there is deffo something fishy about the age of the truck and it having a bid on of that amount already. This does not mean that the shill bidding is not being done here but I think this just goes to prove that you really need to see something in person and speak with the vendor to make you own mind up as to whether something is all that it seems.

on another note, the way ebay "hides" other bidders identities is to use 2 characters from their username with the *** in the middle. so as an example
griegboy as an ebay username with a feedback of say 1000 may be presented as
r***y(1000)
krutly as an ebay username with 1001 may also look like
r***y(1001)

on another day , on another auction it may look like
g***i(1000) and
t***l(1001)
so very difficult for anyone other than the seller to see exactly who is bidding

anything that looks suspicious then go with you gut instinct guys or stick it up on here and have other opinions first if you're unsure.
Just remember that although there are bargains out there, when it comes to parting with you hard earned money, if it seems too good to be true then it probably is

is it the shape of truck it was on that made you think Scott ?
that top would be the ideal size for hair products I would have said ........

Take it that astravan is a hoax? If I was over there I'd buy it for the plate and scrap the car. 99p for plate and at least £90 for scrapping the car
