The corker is, within ten mins of posting my scumtree advert, I got a scam DHL text asking me to pay the tax on a foreign purchase. As it happened I had an ebay item on way from China.
Called DHL the next day "not us, we're aware scammers are grabbing telephone numbers off auction/sale sites to do this"

I knew Ebay was full of d!ckheads never realised Gumtree was too

Don't forget the knobheads that buy you truck at the price advertised on eBay and your classified ad says sold automatically then emails you to say they haven't got any money,then you have to pay to re advertise it again.....fecking tossers

I never put my number on Gumtree, and I refuse to give a contact number until people are on their way, as you get feckin halfwits phoning at all hours. I keep it to emails / gumtree messenger only, I find that if a buyer can barely spell their own name then there's a fair chance their full of shit and wasting my time.

Deposit winging it way tomorrow apparently from a local chap, I actually know him although didn't recognise him at enquiry stage.

I had a call about an hour afterwards. I don't think english was his first language.
"hi i calling L mitsubishi 2 hundred"
"deposit coming tomorrow at full asking price - I will keep your number and call you tomorrow night if it doesn't happen"
"I come now £2500 cash"
"its sold at full asking price"
"But i have cash now and come now"
"with £3k and no arguments??"
"no, £2500 but its cash"
"goodbye"

So.
MOT with no advisories today.
She'll do a final small towing job for me tomorrow then its off for a quick clean before she goes to her new owner tomorrow night.
Sigh

Glad she sold mate.

She's gone now.
Am quite sad as it happens, more so than I expected. She's earned her keep.
Will drop in from time to time.
