Hi i just brought a 2000 reg l200 and requies a new engine its 2.5td what other engines fit in do the shogun or pajero fit straight in thanks for any replys

2000 will be a non fly by wire (controlled by a cable to the pedal)
You can use newer L200 lumps but parts will need changing

A brand new long engine is £1800 from Milner 4x4.

So wud an early shogun ot pajero fit as or would u stick to l200 engine

yeh the shogies and pajs had the same lump

if you could find one the 2.8s are better

Or is it cheaper rebuild my engine i was told needs 3 pistons n head cracked stoke on trent area

I can get a g reg shogun/pajero whats rotten but engines mint for 300 wud the engine go straight in or wud i have much around its got the 2.5 in

mate of mine bunged a pajero engine in an L200
I think he had to change the sump, fuel pump and a couple of odd bits but it went in fine

An old 2.5 should go in with a few bits swapped over, the 2.8 is not a straight forward replacement
