Right, Im putting this up for sale because circumstances have changed. I bought it for a little business venture I had planned and that's all out the window now.
Im putting her on here first as its the right place, Im holding off from all that ebay muppetry for as long as I can..
As per the title, she is a 2005 single cab, battered and bruised, a bit moth eaten but structurally solid, reliable and drives way better than I would have thought before I bought it.
Ive fitted a set of new Monroe rear shocks and that's about it.
Obviously, there are a few issues with it, im Mr Honest ( unlike the ebay seller I purchased the truck from) so I am compelled to inform potential buyers of the following....
There is a screech from ( a pump?) when the engine is first started, it goes as the engine warms.
The centre exhaust box is deteriorated, it doesn't blow but will need replacement at some stage.
There is an oil leak from the sump. The sump has been previously bodged and, ideally, will need replacing.
Previous owner had some sort of PTO on the back so there are two holes in the side of the truck and a hole in the floor ( I have the piece that was cut out and it can be tacked back in)
Interior is now clean but, honestly, the Previous owner either had crippling halitosis or had dogs that smelt like a wrestlers jockstrap as the interior is a bit iffy but not bad since I cleaned it.
Overall, it is what it is, a working truck that has been at work since it was new.
Anyway, here are the good bits....
MOTd to August 5th 2016.
Its done 94,500 miles, the MOT history will verify this
Structurally solid as..
This has to be the only diesel engined commercial vehicle I have ever owned or driven in over 30 years that doesn't smoke on start up, tick over or acceleration, its stupid clean, Ive never experienced that in my life ( a Mitsi trait?)
She starts on the button every time and the temp gauge is rock steady.
Everything works/legal and Id drive her anywhere as she is strangely damn fine to drive.
A lickle bit of history exists, its a Norfolk truck sold originally by Holdens of Norwich so its not been ragged to death all over Europe.
Erm, that's about it really.
I paid £1400 for it at the beginning of January ( trawl ebay historic and it will be on there) but, taking into account the centre box and sump ( good 2nd hand) I don't expect my money back or a profit because that's life innit.
The £1200 is non negotiable, its no show pony but its not junk either and its gotta be worth nearly that in parts!
Ok, Ive attempted to upload pics via photobucket but, apparently, thery are 'too tall' to post here.
There is a pic of the truck on the picture gallery and, if anybody can , Ive got more available to put up.
Interested? PM me.
