So like with all engines my Navara has a know weak point, the bottom timing chain is only a single chain and known for stretching and failing. So as I intend to keep the truck this week I had the timing chains replaced, including an upgrade/conversion to allow the bottom chain to be a double one. Mechanic said it was a complete fu**ing pain to do.

To be fair there didn't seem anything wrong before, but the conversion was a preventative measure. the mechanic showed me the the old chain which had stretched. Does seem smoother to drive now

My bud rob did his for the same reason. He's got a nice lift kit on his 2 tigger. If u ever get tempted.

Yeah mate the mechanic did call me a few choice names As standard it does sit quite low but the higher it is the higher I have to lift materials!

Nice truck tigger .. just watch out for the chassis.....local garage have just welded an 09 back together after chassis snapped between tub and cab.
