Hi, I am brand new to the forum and am looking for some help. I recently bought a 2007 L200 import which turned out to have an intermittent fault on the automatic transmission. After a lengthy battle with the garage that sold it to me they are now saying the fault is water getting onto wiring underneath the bed of the pickup. They said I have caused this when I added a sport top and directed the drainpipe through the hole in the floor. They refuse to accept my argument that the vehicle comes with this hole provided for just this purpose. Any suggestions for where I go next would be gratefully accepted, Thanks
Tbh i beleive the wiring looms for the auto box are a weak point. But back to your issue...if you have not drilled any holes then they have no arguement , as the water would have drained there anyway without a top on it

if there is an issue with the auto loom it's usually near the front, @Nick may be able to tell you where to look

The gearbox wiring loom is a known fault on new shape autos, and is usually caused by wires chaffing, if they are not playing ball and honouring the warranty then you may be best advised paying for an independent engineers report from a Mitsubishi specialist and taking them to a small claim......however that may exceed the cost of repairing the wiring fault.
