Hi all been having problems with my 2010 2.5 Trogon on and off for a while after running really low on fuel think I sucked up the crap out of the bottom of the tank changed the filters as started to get surges in power and lack of power at points which cured it for a few months so changed filter again and this cured it for another few months started doing it again recently is there a filter in the tank or a preceeding filter to the main one in the engine bay and do I need to drop the tank to clean it. Tempted to try and blow the lines back with an air line and see if this helps as gut feel will be a ball ache to drop and clean the tank ps the filters had dirt in them so im 99.5% sure dirt is the cause thanks in adavnace any help appreciated[truck2]
Could be the Suction Control Valve on the back of the pump.

Hi Sorry wont let me see the pics fairly sure dirt is the issue but im going to change filter again tomorrow will have a look at back of housing last time seemed to pump up fuel fine runs ok most of the time just every now and then you can hear the engine stuttering a bit is there a filter in the tank?
You can look at the fuel rail pressure if you have a code reader that does live data.
Not sure about a filter in the tank.
SCV is a common problem with New shapes, cost about £60, takes 2 mins to change.
