Hi been away for a little while, thought I should check in! Glad to be a member!
Based in Chelmsford Essex
Currently own black 2007 Trojan (k74 old shape) 94000mls standard other than rear chrome bar, hard top, at3 all terrains, de-cat. Although if it carries on going wrong i might not own it much longer! 😬
Recent: fuel pump recon, timing belts,
Ongoing problem: lack of power/ turbo probs still no diagnosis to date!
New problem: dipstick tube snapped at bracket- lots of oil everywhere!
Any one know of a good l200 guru in this part of the country!? 😉
Cheers folks!

@TrojanDom
your turbo /lack of power issue .... you getting any smoke from the exhaust from that ... could be a vacuum problem , or possibly sticking EGR valve ( unless you've removed it )

Hi Ronnie,
Probably best if I explain further... il try to keep it short! Started with the turbo giving out a short 'chirp' when changing up a gear round about 3000rpm, over a few months the power seemed to fade until a point when towing, laden, hills etc it felt like there was just no turbo at all, but no eml. Also around this time on a particularly steep hill the dipstick blew out, not sure if related,hasn't happened since. Got fed up with this and have it to mechanic to look at, he couldn't find anything suspect. Had diagnostics done, showed nothing. Was told it could be fuel pump, this has now been refurbed, which resulted in a slight improvement in engine running and power but still not great. Was told it could be a choked cat- so have done decat conversion with new exhaust system (to rule out any leaks). All pipes checked, egr thoroughly cleaned, engine flush etc. Still the same. Have tried decreasing boost which just made the problem worse, increased the boost which has helped a little below 2000rpm. When stationery turbo sounds exactly as it should and boosts ok, when driving sounds a bit asthmatic and seems to cut out altogether at about 2200rpm and sometimes chips back in at 3100. Have been told to try getting the ecu re-written by Mitsubishi, which currently is my only next step! Thought the big puddle of oil on the floor the other day was related but turned out the dipstick tube had snapped at the bracket..if only I could get the b****ard thing out to put the new one in!
Very frustrated with it all now!
Really need someone who knows these motors to help me put it right!
Any help greatly appreciated!
Cheers in advance
