If the socket is there you don't need any fixings or solder just replace the plug?

Just crimp them in and waterproof tape properly. And the wiring diagrams are not all true. The chinks must just use wat wire they have as non of mine corresponded to the drawings.

there should be a socket thingy as part of the rear loom on the chassis up near the drivers side rear wheel that you can plug the tow bar electrics into ........ presuming you can get the right plug for it

Do you have a circuit tester?
If not either:
Take out the interior roof light and hook up two wires to it attach one to an earth and use the other end as your tester
Or pull the rear lights out you can just follow lives from the bulbs to the connector and just splice in there either scotchlock or cut and crimp

As above, if the wiring is there then you do not need sweaty sock blocks, there bloody horrible things anyway, hopefully this should be what you are looking for.

Oh FFS, trying to remember someone told me about a gel you can pump in to seal the contacts with.. Mine were hooked with electrical tape/chocblock connectors... I redid with Werbung: Waterproof connectors
I also moved the 7pin to the back next to the reg plate
