2002 2.5TD L200 4WD

Hi I have just joined the forum (awaiting activation) but have an urgent problem with my L200, I purchased the car about 3 weeks ago with a 12month MOT all was fine until the other day!

the problem is when you brake hard from slow speed 10 - 15mph the truck takes a long time to stop, the pedal is very solid and does not go to the floor pads, shoes levels are all ok the only other thing connected with the brakes is if you pump the brake pedal (or sometimes stop as described above) the red hand brake brake servo? warning light on the dash lights up this is not on whilst driving, there is no lack of performance but the ticker is a bit lumpy but no more than I would expect from a diesel engine.
any suggestions please
