What type of grease is best for slider pins?
Silicone Grease ?
Lithium Grease ?
Only reason I ask is I think it would be prudent to build greasing the slider pins into a routine maintenance

I use ceramic lube, there is plenty on the Internet as to why you shouldn't use copper grease. I have copied one bit for you to read,it is expensive but a pot lasts for hundreds of applications.
Someone has “kindly” lubed his slider pins for him during a service with, you guessed it, copper grease.
As you can see the old seals look perfectly fine until you compare them to the new ones and realise that the old ones are 20% larger than they should be! Now this is a problem because obviously they won’t be doing their sealing job properly and water and crud will get in and corrode your slider pins, resulting in binding and/or reduced efficiency brakes
That’s bad enough on slider pins but the real problem comes when copper grease, melted by the heat of the brakes, migrates up the brake pistons and onto the hydraulic seals. This WILL happen if you put ANY copper grease on the pads.
I’ve no piccies but you can guess what happens: The seals swell up. This can result in a possibly fatal fluid leak but it is unlikely. Much more likely is that the swollen seals will cause the pistons to bind, and you end up with binding brakes.

I can understand the benefits over copper grease ( hence not in my original question ) , but what makes the red grease better than Lithium or silicone greases?

@ronniecabers yes that is what I use specifically the casterol stuff, benefits I have found are the red grease is much thicker/stickier than other greases and seems to last longer especially when abusing the trucks off road swimming ect.
