I've noticed past two days when cruising at 70/75, just over 3000rpm if the road has an incline I can feel an intermittent retardation of the engine. Barely enough to register on the speedo or rev counter if at all. So it's minimal at worst. Am I right in thinking it's overboost?

EML usually comes on if its overboost

Mine dident come on before it went over 2 bar so its a bit late.
When mine over boosted i couldn't barely accelerate when i got over about 2500 rpm and the truck started screaming when i tried.

i think my truck is overboosting too. wont go over 300rpm, very slow to get past 2500rmp, have to lift of the gas.

Run a can of Forte derv treatment through it before starting to adjust the turbo.
Do not buy any other derv cleaner, they are not as good as Forte.
£10 a can off ebay.

My injectors were cleaned and flowed with new nozzles not 2000 miles ago. If it isn't overboost could I be looking at tank gunk from now running on veg? changed fuel filter after first 300 miles. Does it need doing again?

Luke that is quite likely mate, the veg strips all the shyte thats in the deisel and leaves it in the filter, got to be worth the try mate.

Cool. Only other thought is that it's drain from the alternator since I now have a split charger on my aux battery and tub heater. But that wouldn't affect a diesel would it?

Leccy stuff wouldn't make a difference until it's virtually killing the power completely, the only real 'leccy' bit is the fuel stop, all the rest of the pump is 5v

I'll change the fuel filter see what that does then. Cheers Lez
