Pls can someone give some help. My 2003 Mitsubishi L200 warrior is being unhelpful. After driving for a few miles once it has warmed up it suddenly has a massive dip in power and the revs drop, most of the time you can take your foot off the accelerator and then put it back down and it will pick up again but occasionally you need to drop a gear to regain power. It tends to do this mostly in 4/5th gear with the revs between 2.5-3.5. I've just collected it from my mechanic who cleaned the EGR valve but it has made no difference. I've had the truck 4 years and had problems with the over boost on the turbo when I first got it but had it all adjusted and never given me a problem since-could it need re adjusting again even though it hasn't been touched? The needle on he rev counter flickers and drops a little whilst driving along even if it doesn't drop power. It has been a great reliable truck up until last week! Thanks in advance for any of you thoughts?
Thanks for reply, no there is no eml at all and nothing when plugged into diagnostic either.
mine used to hesitate every now and again at around 2,250 revs , with a slight lift of the pedal curing this ...... changing the fuel filter always sorted this for me
