My lever is very imprecise I think the bushings may be gone.
Has anyone replaced these or got any other suggestions?

Does the stick centralise back to the 3rd/4th position when you let it go from 1st/2nd or 5th/reverse? or is it just very hard to select any gear?

Sorry been busy under the truck
I have an old single cab and the gear lever is precise
On me new truck (double cab 2001) the lever is very hard to locate into gear and has a lot of free play
I think that the linkage is not located properly or the nylon bushes are worn or missing
What do you think?

Got the stick out the nylon bush seems too big to go in the gate without twisting it sideways so
Do I put the bush on the gearstick and force it in or put the bush in the gearbox and just plonk the gear lever on?
If the latter how do you know it's on properly?
The old bush seems ok but
I bought a new one anyway
