Hi I'm new to this forum, can anyone give me advice I have a 1995 mitsubishi l200 it's covered 88000 genuine miles, I got it through mot and on the road last weekend everything was going fine until my gear selecting started playing up, third started crunching to go in and and the rest felt really tight, I managed to get home now it will only select third gear nothing else. There's no noises coming from the gearbox and the clutch feels fine, I'm expecting it to be gearbox failure tho. Thankyou

I would drain the oil and see what falls out first.
If it has any oil put fresh in and see how it runs. Not sure what gearbox oil in a 95 model but I am sure someone will let you know.

will be the same oil spec as the classics i expect, there are also inspection plates that can be removed

Mine started doing that I found the select springs in the box we goosed there is three springs one on the top and two either side you can get to them from out side the box and there's also a ball bearing for the select shaft I'll try and find a pic
