@123hotchef just drove home after moving the torsion bars a few splines and removing the upper bump stops. Got a bit more hight so looks much better! Also i spoke to dave at llama 4x4. We came to the conclusion a cj jeep kit should fit with little modification so ill be ordering 2 😁😁 should be able to sqeeze em there i reckon !

£140 for the two shipped. So not terrible. And that everything I'll need. Yeah I had a measure and seems fine. Shall cripple check again before I order but I reckon that's the one

Personally I don't think a steering damper warrants a massive spend like that - it's not like it's getting shock loaded all the time like the suspension

Cool sounds like a plan not bank breaking if that is complete kit either.

No he just sent me a couple pictures and the measurements. It's the rough country N2.0 jeep cj kit. Pretty sure it's on his site

Do you get the same problem Lee? Just wondering if you're throwing out the geometry too much with flip mod? Think bump steer is caused by the camber being altered too much, or the track rods changing in length relative to each other as the suspension travels.

Mate I have altered all sorts on mine I had the tie rod under for a hour bump steer was terrible then. To be honest I can't remember any different now

lol - you just have to steer it 30 degrees to the right to make it go straight that's next on my list. apart from that it handles lovely (on road) though

When I got mine it was maxxed out on the t-bars - it was stupidly bouncy on the front but didn't notice the bump steer so much, wound it down a bit when I fitted the road tyres/rims back onto it. Ideally you want the track rod close to horizontal at standard height, then any changes in the travel minimise the lateral movement of the track rod (i.e. bump steer) - maybe a riser or something could be knocked up?

Mine are a bit better being rose jointed now I can space them with washers but fitting them under the knuckle made it bad even though they were much more of a horizontal plane

Well gentlemen, two rough country nitro steering dampers successfully fitted! And oh my good googly God is it better! Pics coming up in my gallery if anyone wants to see how they went on. The cj brackets fitted right on for one and the second required only a little fuckery with a grinder and welder. Super chuffed!
