Remote Key Fob On Classic

#1 by GaryF , Thu Jul 19, 2012 12:44 am

This might be of use to someone.

Today the rubber tie snapped on my remote and fell off my keys. Rather than buy a new fob or carry the fob loose in my pocket I made a copy of the tie out of an old leather belt and fitted it to the fob in the same way as the old rubber one, fitted it back on my keys. Job done and a lot stronger than the femur original. Cost, nothing, just ten minutes of my time.

That's a bloody good idea. I'll bear that in mind for when mine (inevitably) goes.
