Hi there, I have an l200 warrior, 63 plate, at the moment it has the standard 245/65 r17 duellers on it. what I want to know is, can I put some 265/70 (looking at bfg's) on it? will these affect the speedo or put more pressure on gearbox etc? also, will these give me any more ground clearance ?
Thats a difference of 53mm in dia or 7.07% . the recommended tyre size increase is 2.5% I think you could go to 265-65-17 which is an increase of 26mm in dia @ 3.47% Not to familiar with new shape arch clearance
@krutly whats on yours

as the K-man says, I've got 20 inch rims on mine
bigger tyres will give you more ground clearance but you'll hardly notice the difference
most speedos read a bit over anyway so changing up will leave it reading under (you'll be going faster than it actually indicates so worth bearing in mind)
I think the biggest you can go is 265/70/17s but remember a super chunky off road tread is going to be slightly taller so probably 265/65/17 if they're chunky
cant see it making much difference to the gearbox in my opinion
