Hi all, just got a 53 plate green over silver for work I think? Couple of minor issues I hope, front
Electric windows don't work & flashing 4 wheel drive symbol on dash? O and one more slightly
Unsettling issue, when in 4 wheel drive it's fine in a straight line but when I turn the wheel the
Back wheels start to lock up! 😣

first off, welcome ......

dont use 4WD unless you are on a loose/slippery surface or you'll get diff wind up as you are already describing when you turn as it'll get expensive if it goes bang
the 4WD system is not designed to be used on hard surfaces like tarmac etc

green over silver suggests 4life or GLS to me
4 works are usually all one colour and have window winders not electric windows

electric window fuse is down by the pedals and is number 13 and under the bonnet fuse number 9
sometimes the windows stick on these trucks if they aint used regularly but a squirt of silicone spray in the runners will sort this

flashing 4x4 light is common, usually a sticking actuator (in rubber bellows on front diff) or it'll be a blockage/split/fault somewhere in the vac system that controls the 4x4 system
plenty of diagrams and photos on here of the likely culprits which you'll be able to view as soon as you are upgraded (details of what to do are in the top post)

you shouldn't have done any damage going a few feet bud . Sometimes when the diff starts to wind up you get stuck in 4wd and have to reverse to get it back out again
your lecky windows sound like they may have been added by a previous owner so may or may not have been wired up to the correct fuses (but worth a check first)

any other issues you have just shout, there are plenty of knowledgeable people on here happy to help
and failing that there are plenty of people on here happy to take the piss when we own up to our mistakes (there's a thread called donkey of the week where we fess up to our own stupidities)

Hammer and Stanley knife. Lol. U just need the manual mechanisms off a scrap truck. Couple of hour job at most bud. With beer. 2 days without.
