Exhaust sheered in front of the mid box today. So, 2.5" S/S exhaust it is then!
While I was underneath looking at it I saw that I have oil spreading it's way underneath the gear box and along the inside and underneath of the chassis rails. Forward face of the gear box is dry. The Front cross member is wet though. First thought is that it's blow back from the bottom end failure. But, anything round there that could be leaking? Engine is dry.

I have a similar leak on mine but till i get to pressure wash the underneath i won't be able to tell where it is coming from

crankcase oil seal ? - no idea what I`m talking aboot , but I had this once and it made my bottom all slippery - eventually traced to c.o.s.

Half moon seal will give oil under the gearbox, chack the rear of the head first.

It has been quite oily down the bottom of the engine bay since the con rod decided to explore the outside world. So I know I have that oil present. And it's bound to work it's way backwards as you drive. And I know oil takes a freakishly long time to dry. But you can see where it is wet over the dried waxoyl. Also, this is not one day's worth of spreading. Has obviously been pushed back by air flow for a while, and I have no oil patches on the ground in that area. So I'm probably just answering my own question here. It's just nerve racking when you see oil like that. Plus it's wet but also gloopy.
