my a bar i purchased off ebay has arrived just need to either modify brackets to fit and cut towing hook off drill holes for brackets to fitor custom make new brackets what do you think

I'd cut the tow hook thing off if it was me, got to be easier than fabbing up new brackets...

I wouldnt cut the tow hook off, best try an come up with something else.

what brackets are need to get it fitted if you are locali have loads of metal here if you need it and have welder plasma cutter and piller drils if any good

Do not cut the tow hook off that is just dangerous in the event of needing recovery

I had a similar problem with a bar before just cut a small grove out of the bracets to slide round the tow hook

It the front hook rated...? Mine looks like it would bend if any pressure was put on it.

I believe so, off roaders with pretty standard trucks get pulled out by it so it canie be that bendy

its just the hook side am having to modify other side ok and sits central on truck and looks right elongating the bracket hole sounds good as they say theres always away just couldnt see how one side would fit ok and hook side wouldnt

well had another look yhis morning with fres eyes only got to cut some off /modify bracket and things hopefully will be fine .So lets see what happens tomorrow

well its fits slight modifycation to the bracket round the tow hook couple of coffee's bit of napper scratching and hey presto thanks for the advice will try and up load some pics when i get more time as i am now on the quest for light to sit on the bar any suggestions are more than welcome

I was probably gonna go for britax ones as they look pretty good for fairly cheap. If I had unlimited funds would either go for light force or one of these led bar lights
