Hi people, looking for some major help, got L200 2006 double cab automatic everything was all grand then one day it started going into second gear with a judder so was diagnosed with gearfault overhaul required, so I took the box out sent it to a (specialist) took 2wks £1800 told me to fit new radiator or no warranty so done that put all back together new fluid new transfer box oil go for a test run 1..2..3...bang into 4th gear, so rang (specialist) they said bring it to them they had it 2months said they took it bk out stripped rebuilt it and it’s driving the same bang into 4th :-( if anybody can help would really appreciate it Maniacalkevo@gmail.com

check the wiring loom sometimes the cables get chaffed or broken in the loom near the box

difficult to change gear?

years ago when i had a 2.8 granada v6 auto that used to be a bit sluggish/rough through the gears when it was low on gearbox oil...I'd just be double checking that oil level too...

Thanks the box has been out twice oil changed every time, I have registered for a user but still no email?

It changes fine it’s just not smooth at all do you think I should just get me £1800 bk and get a second hand gearbox and try that

I definetly think you need to check the wiring loom first ... as the box maybe fine . I believe it was somewhere round the tunnel area it chaffed @Nick knows better than I . I do know you would need to look closely though , possibly splitting the loom open . Rule out the loom first then re approach the people that did the recon would be my thinking

As goes the activation ... Admin does that .. I'm sure she will be on shortly to arrange it , she does work and have kids though so doesn't get on every day

Ok gona get in touch with the recon guy as he has the truck it drives great with OD off, but if u switch it on bangs into 4th and coming down into 3rd , just strange the fact it’s gone from banging into second to banging into 4th

Don’t surpose anybody know where a could get a diagram from I will keep in touch as well with progress

Loom needs taking off and testing with a multi meter.
Test each wire for continuity

just picked truck back up, if i drive with OD off up to 3rd and stay on the gas turn OD on it goes into 4th fine if i let off the gas it bangs into 3rd but not all the time :/
