Paint work restoration?

#1 by Yoda , Sun Oct 14, 2012 7:13 pm

My paint work is in pretty good condition for it's year. But I wouldn't mind improving it a little. Thinking a full respray is out if the question. I've had a quote to wrap it for £1100 which I quite like as I could go Matt black. Just wondering if you guys know of any other techniques out there for tarting up existing paint work?

I'm gonna speak to these guys near me to see what they can offer.

they are only going to do little blow ins which is going to look pants, try T cutting it all first, see what she comes up like, the wrap sounds quite good, I`d go for "hello Kitty" or something :-) lol , it`s alot cheaper than a respray

thats a good price for a full wrap mate very good indeed - make sure they talk to you about where they will be putting the join and overlap lines as those are the points to worry bout.....otherwise enjoy - oh and mind that a wrap is supposed to have limited lifetime 5 years or so - i've seen some vans wrapped that are well over 8 years and look good but bear in mind it has a life span.

cheers

Thing is a matt black wrap is still smooth and aerodynamic.

I'm gonna put some clear vinyl on mine before I do any more green laning! Wasn't happy when I seen all my scratches!!
