Hi
I have a 04 L200 which recently suffered a cambelt failure. On inspection the valves hitting the pistons broke the cam caps and broke 2 rockers! I contacted Mitsubushi who told me cam caps are not available without buying a new blank head so I bought a second hand head which I don't know the year of. I believe it is a newer head and when I bolted my rocker shaft on it held all the valves open. Checking on this I found the valves on the new head are about 7mm longer and the springs are heavier (green painted as mine are yellow painted) I cant swap the valves over as they are level with the head face on the original head and stick out abit on the newer head and would be short. Anyway out of my predicament without buying another 04 head and loosing the money I paid out already.
thanks Kev

sounds like you have got a pre 2001 head as the valves sit different. I dont think you should use it as I think the valves would hit the pistons but Im not 100% sure. However I do have a set of cam caps I could sell you and a cam shaft if needed.
